Storie di Stile will come to life through an ongoing series of partnerships and collaborations that stay true to Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s commitment to craftsmanship, quality, passion and heritage.
To kick off Storie di Stile, Peroni Nastro Azzurro is collaborating with Italian fine art and fashion photographer Alexo Wandael for ITALIANY, an exhibition of elegant, black-and-white photography that celebrates talented Italians and their stories through personal portraits. Open to the public Sept. 4 at Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimo, home of the Department of Italian Studies at New York University, the exhibition features some of New York’s most successful Italians, including Francesco Carrozzini, Grazia D’Annunzio, Jennifer Missoni and Xavier Salomon. Extending beyond its debut in New York City, the ITALIANY collaboration will continue to come to life throughout the Storie di Stile campaign with exhibitions in cities such as Miami and Los Angeles.
For ITALIANY, Wandael worked closely with each of those involved to carefully select a location in New York City that holds special significance in their experience as an Italian in the city. The portraits are a creative collaboration of Wandael’s viewpoint as a photographer and the raw influence of each subject’s style and story. The project is described as a tribute by Wandael as his “personal journey among the motley crew of talented and stylish Italians living, loving and working in New York.”
